What Is Card Labo, and Can You Buy Cards from It in Thailand?

Card Labo is an Animate-group card chain with more than 40 stores across Japan, selling singles, booster boxes and graded cards on one site. It only ships within Japan, but you can send the link to a Tama-Chan admin to order for you.

What is Card Labo?

Card Labo (sometimes written C-Labo) is a card chain founded in 2004, part of the Animate group alongside Gamers. It has more than 40 stores across Japan, and its online team is in Chiyoda, Tokyo.

Every game is searchable from one search box. The front page shows a grid of logos, from Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokémon and One Piece to Magic, Weiss Schwarz, Vanguard, Gundam and hololive.

What does Card Labo sell?

Card Labo sells used singles, discounted damaged playables, new booster boxes and decks, PSA10 and PCG10 graded cards, the shop's own packs, and supplies such as sleeves, some under its own brand.

Some popular cards are priced slightly below Card Rush; the Umbreon ex below is the same card we captured at Card Rush the same day. For an expensive card, have the admin compare the two shops first.

How do you read card condition at Card Labo?

Card Labo uses just three. A card with no label is used and in good shape, sleeved straight from the pack or close to it.

Items labelled unopened are sealed, but the shop does not guarantee what is inside and nothing can be returned once opened. Cards labelled as scratched, play-grade or special-price are damaged copies sold cheaper, and those cannot be returned either.

One more label turns up often in the special-price group: it means the card came out of the pack already damaged, not that it was damaged later.

Can you order from Card Labo yourself in Thailand?

No. Card Labo only ships within Japan, and in-store pickup in Akihabara requires ID.

New booster boxes that many people want are not sold directly; they go by lottery. The One Piece OP-17 booster box below was sold this way, and entering does not mean you will win one. If you are unsure whether the set is worth it, read the standout cards of this set first.

Each listing has a per-person limit, and confirmed orders cannot be cancelled.

Ordering from Card Labo through Tama-Chan

Tama-Chan can order from Card Labo for you. Found the card you want? Send its link to an admin on LINE, or just tell the admin which card you want and its card number, and they will find it for you. The team checks the price and stock, then quotes a baht total before you commit.

If you have your eye on the same card at several shops, send all the links. An admin will check which shop still has it.

Rates are on the service fee table.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on the card. Card Labo prices some popular singles slightly lower, but card prices move daily. The reliable way is to send both links to an admin and compare on the day you order.
