Is it worth buying from the damaged section?

Yes, if the card is going into a deck: it costs less and plays the same. It is not for collecting or grading, since these cards have scratches, marks or bends.

Can I pre-order new sets from Yuyu-tei?

Yes. The shop takes pre-orders and locks the price on the day you order, but if the maker ships the shop fewer than it ordered, your quantity can be cut.

Do I need a Yuyu-tei account?

No. Tama-Chan places the order; just send the link to the card you want, or its name and card number, to an admin.

What Is Yuyu-tei, and Can You Buy Cards from It in Thailand?

Yuyu-tei is a Japanese online card shop focused on singles, with almost every card game played in Japan, from Pokémon and One Piece to Weiss Schwarz. It does not ship outside Japan, so buyers in Thailand send the link to a Tama-Chan admin to order for them.

What is Yuyu-tei?

Yuyu-tei is a Japanese online trading card shop run by Scala Place, a group company of Scala, which is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The shop both buys and sells cards, so its stock is large and varied.

The site is split into one section per card game and covers almost every game played in Japan: Pokémon, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Weiss Schwarz, Duel Masters, Vanguard, Union Arena, Digimon, Gundam and more. Each section only shows that game.

What does Yuyu-tei sell?

Yuyu-tei focuses on singles, from commons up to the rare cards of the newest sets, and also sells booster boxes, decks and supplies.

If you play Weiss Schwarz, the shop has a wide choice of signed SP, SSP and SEC cards.

But Yuyu-tei does not sell PSA-graded cards or Magic cards.

What condition are Yuyu-tei's cards in?

Cards in the regular listings are close to fresh from the pack, but the shop does not promise collection grade. Its own wording allows for small scratches or white edges, and foils may curl.

Damaged cards sit in a separate section for each game, labelled as scratched. These have scratches, marks or bends, cost less and suit play decks. Search can also filter to undamaged or damaged only.

If you are buying an expensive card to keep, have an admin check its condition before ordering. Every shop describes condition its own way; there is an overview in how Japanese shops describe condition.

Can you order from Yuyu-tei yourself in Thailand?

No. The shop's FAQ says it does not ship abroad.

There is no fixed per-person limit, but if you order a large number of the same card the shop may cut the quantity or decline the order.

Rare cards are usually down to one or two copies. When we looked, the Zekrom ex below was the last one in stock. If you spend a while looking for a way to order it yourself, it is usually gone.

Several cards from several games can go in one message. Once an admin has placed the order it cannot be cancelled, because the shop does not accept change-of-mind cancellations.

There is no graded section; the shop sells raw cards. For PSA10 Pokémon you need a shop that specialises in them, such as Full Ahead.
